How Big Is That Kitchen?

In kitchen design, a basic unit of measurement that is used in the industry to help determine the basic size of the kitchen - small, medium, large. We call each cabinet unit a “box.”

Basic (8–12 boxes)

Great for compact spaces like apartments, ADUs, or secondary kitchens. Efficient and minimal.

Just Right (13–26 boxes) - Most common
